Robert Griffin III is set to return as a college football broadcaster in 2025.
That’s according to a report from The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand, who reports FOX is expected to hire the former Heisman Trophy winner ahead of the 2025 season. Griffin would serve as the network’s No. 2 game analyst, per the report.

Marchand reported that Griffin will be replacing Brock Huard, who decided to step away from broadcasting after the 2024 season. His play-by-play partner is set to be Jason Benetti. The report indicates a deal has not yet been signed, but is expected to be finalized at some point.
ESPN fired Griffin and Sam Ponder last August just before the start of the 2024 college football season. During his time away from broadcasting, Grififn has remained active with his podcast, ‘Outta Pocket with RGIII.’
Griffin spent 4 years with the World Wide Leader and contributed in a variety of roles. In addition to serving as a game analyst, Griffin also appeared on programs like Monday Night Football and Get Up. Per Marchand, Griffin’s deal with FOX would primarily include game assignments.
