Lyndon Arthur will utilise valuable lessons from his 12-round war with Dmitry Bivol against Anthony Yarde on Saturday night.

Arthur meets Yarde for the third time on Saturday night at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to settle their trilogy on the undercard of Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn.

All fights are live on talkSPORT as Yarde, 33, (26-3), is looking to claim another shot at winning the light heavyweight title through a victory over Arthur, 33, (24-2).

‘King Arthur’ is fresh off a big win over Liam Cameron in June 2024, which came six months after he shared the ring with one of boxing’s greatest pound-for-pound fighters of all time.

Bivol is the undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO light heavyweight champion, having secured a majority decision victory in his blockbuster rematch with Artur Beterbiev last February.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Arthur explained what it was like standing toe-to-toe with Bivol in the squared circle ahead of his trilogy with Yarde.

“I took the fight in three-and-a-half, four weeks’ notice, I couldn’t really train properly,” he said.

“He was just a carrot dangling in front of me, and I said, ‘Yeah, let’s go on and take this opportunity.

“I went 12 rounds with him – I never went there to lose – but quite quickly I understood that [I wasn’t ready.]

“I’d only sparred one or two eight-round sessions, and I couldn’t run for most of the camp. I quite quickly learned that it’s going to be harder than I thought.

“But I got to go 12 rounds with one of the best pound-for-pound in the world and I took great experience from that.”

Arthur will lock horns with Yarde five years after he defeated his British counterpart in 2020 before losing in a rematch the following year.

The winner of the trilogy bout will claim bragging rights and take a second victory against their familiar opponent with the score now even.

Arthur exuded confidence as he shared his final predictions with talkSPORT Boxing pundit Spencer Oliver, both for his own fight and the main event.

“Stoppage,” he said without hesitation. “I’m just confident in myself. I’ve done everything I needed to do in training – cut no corners. So that’s why I believe.”

Arthur then asserted that Benn definitely has a chance to overcome Eubank Jr in the headline act, but admitted it would be a ‘hard task.’

The 33-year-old has recently opened up on how boxing saved him from a life of crime on the streets of Manchester after his brother’s tragic death.

He was just 10 years old when his brother, Zennen Blackburn, was gunned down near Manchester’s city centre in 2002.

“I’m an estate kid and I grew up doing estate things,” Arthur told the BBC in 2020.

“It would have been easy for me to be in jail, it could have been easy for me to be dead. So boxing has changed my life.”

The Mancunian had just defended his Commonwealth light heavyweight title after beating Yarde in London, dedicating the victory to his brother Zennen.
