WrestleMania 41 is officially in the books.
The second night of WWE‘s annual spectacle unfolded from Las Vegas on Sunday, and proved to be the hottest ticket in town.
Paul impressed on night two of WrestleManiaGettyWhile we saw a fan-favorite superstar snap a horrific streak on night one, as well as three title changes, night two provided the must-watch main event in Cody Rhodes vs John Cena.
Cena, who is on a farewell tour in 2025, was chasing a record 17th world title in the final match of the night, but the stage was set long before he took to the squared circle.
Allegiant Stadium felt electric from the first bell, proving that there really is no stage greater than this in professional wrestling.
Here are five key takeaways from night two of WrestleMania 41.
Future is bright for WWE’s Women’s Division
Iyo Sky, Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair put on a clinic in the opening match of the night.
The trio had the Las Vegas crowd on their feet chanting, ‘This is awesome’ as they went to war in an explosive triple threat title match for the Women’s World Championship.
In the end, it was Sky who picked up the win, successfully defending the gold.
Fans described the bout as an ‘instant classic’ and one of the best opening matches in WrestleMania history.
Throw in the return of Becky Lynch later in the night, and the future of the Women’s Division looks very bright indeed.
Randy Orton should get at least one more world title run
It’s no secret that Randy Orton‘s incredible WWE career is drawing to a close.
Orton deserves another title run in WWE before retirementGettySunday night marked his 20th appearance at WrestleMania, and it came against none other than TNA World Champion Joe Hendry, who answered The Viper’s open challenge.
It took Orton just three minutes to pick up the win, catching his opponent with a trademark RKO, before delivering a second for good measure after the bell.
Over the last 23 years, he has won 14 world championships in WWE, and while Orton is unlikely to catch up to the likes of JohnCena and Ric Flair, he deserves at least one more run with professional wrestling’s top prize.
The Viper’s three-minute bout against Hendry was well-received by fans in Las Vegas, proving that he’s still a very popular figure, no matter who he shares the ring with.
Sky is the limit for real deal Logan Paul
It’s no secret that Logan Paul thinks he can hang with the best in WWE, and despite being booed out of the building almost every night, he proved just that on Sunday.
‘The Maverick’ beat AJ Styles clean at WrestleMania, and got in plenty of offense as he took on one of the most respected grapplers in recent memory.
Paul proved once again that he has what it takes to make it in WWEGettyHe even pulled off AJ’s finisher, the ‘Styles Clash’, before securing the three count.
Yes, his personality rubs the crowd the wrong way, and he feels almost impossible to root for, but there’s little doubt that Paul is very talented in the ring.
He also brings more eyeballs to the product than many others could, given he has a massive following outside the squared circle too.
“Nobody should be shocked about this performance from Logan Paul. When will we accept that he’s not a newcomer, he’s not an outsider. He is the real deal,” commentator Wade Barrett said of his performance.
Las Vegas crowd explodes for Dominik Mysterio title win
‘Dirty’ Dominik Mysterio is the new Intercontinental Champion, and the crowd inside Allegiant Stadium absolutely loved to watch that unfold.
He showed shades of the legendary Eddie Guerrero by defeating Bron Breakker, Penta and Judgment Day stablemate, Finn Balor, to escape with the belt.
Mysterio pinned Balor after a frog splash to his supposed brother, who was attempting to pin Breakker after hitting his own Coup de Grace finisher.
But rather than boos echoing down from the rafters, Mysterio was actually met with big cheers as he lifted the title, suggesting a face turn could be on the horizon.
A face turn could be on the horizon for MysterioGettyWWE made right call in main event, but The Rock’s absence was glaring
Cena is officially a record-breaking 17-time world champion in WWE.
He beat Rhodes in the WrestleMania main event on Sunday night, in front of an electric crowd that could barely contain their excitement.
When they were wrestling, Cena and Rhodes had more than 60,000 people on the edge of their seats.
The two stars exchanged blow after blow, for near-fall after near-fall.
Cena will now write a new chapter of WWE history as a 17-time championWWEBoth kicked out of each other’s finisher multiple times, and it really looked as if they could continue bouncing each other off the canvas long into the night.
But then Travis Scott got involved. Despite taking a ‘Cross Rhodes’, he provided the distraction that allowed Cena to crack Cody around the head with the title belt to secure the three-count.
Cena’s win, and the tactics he used to get it, were perhaps not a surprise.
But The Rock’s absence was glaring, and without him present, the heel turn has made little sense.
The Rock was not present for Cena’s title winGettyWe might get some reasoning on Raw this Monday, or we might not hear anything about The Rock at all.
Cena is undoubtedly the focus now, but fans were certainly disappointed that ‘The Great One’ didn’t show up for WrestleMania this year, given he was the one that set the heel turn in motion.
