Mike Elko has coached against both Mario Craver and KC Concepcion, so having both in the fold at Texas A&M after they both transferred to the program in the offseason is a welcome change.
“Both those kids were really productive college football players,” Elko said after the Aggies’ spring game on Saturday, according to TexAgs. “(Craver) was the toughest kid some of our guys played against last year. I played KC when I was at Duke. I don’t think it should be surprising that they will be productive for us.”
Craver put together a strong season as a true freshman at Mississippi State, making 5 catches for 42 yards and a touchdown in a 34-24 loss. He totaled 17 catches for 368 yards and 3 scores before entering the transfer portal and joining Texas A&M.
Concepcion, a former NC State standout for 2 seasons, totaled 96 all-purpose yards in the Wolfpack’s game against Duke in 2023. He impressed in his first season with the team, with 839 receiving yards, 320 yards on the ground, and 10 touchdowns.
Both are now with the Aggies, and looking to push the program to new heights heading in to Elko’s second season in charge. They combined for 86 yards receiving during Saturday’s spring game.
