Not only do world snooker champions receive a beautiful trophy for winning the tournament, they also claim a huge amount of money.
Last year, Kyren Wilson got his hands on £500,000 for conquering the World Snooker Championship – now he’s aiming to do it again.

World Snooker Championship 2025 prize money
A total of £2.395million will be available at the World Snooker Championship.
This is the same amount of money that was on offer at last year’s tournament.
Wilson will be aiming to come out on top yet again and receive another huge payday.
And the winner of the World Championship will claim £500,000 once again.
Second place recieves £200,000 while losers in the semi-finals take home £100,000.
For losing in the quarter-finals, players depart with £50,000 each while last 16 finishers receive £30,000.

The 2025 World Snooker Championship will begin on Saturday, April 19 and run all the way through to Monday, May 5.
It is being held at the iconic Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
Morning sessions are scheduled to begin at 10am each day, with afternoon sessions starting at 2:30pm and evening sessions at 7pm.
Fans will be able to watch the action live and free-to-air across the BBC and on iPlayer.
