Viewers took to social media after the man, played by Peter Krause, seemingly succumbed to the manipulated virus that fans were concerned might take firefighter Chimney’s life instead following his exposure in the previous episode.
“This has to be a fakeout please tell me I’m dreaming,” somebody else pleaded. Unfortunately, Krause confirmed he was moving on from the series in an open letter to fans published by Deadline, writing that it was “a tough goodbye.”
