ESPN star Kendrick Perkins was apparently caught in his own lie by a radio host.
Perkins, 40, won the NBA title in 2008 with the Boston Celtics.

The First Take star seemingly said last year that he would boycott 2025 awards.
And when he posted a message on X about the awards – he was brutally reminded.
“Just finished submitting my votes,” Perkins wrote on X.
Sirius XM radio host Justin Termine then apparantly pulled up some receipts on Perkins.
He shared an audio clip in reply to Perkins’ tweet.
Termine wrote, “My guy – here’s audio of you telling us last year you weren’t going to vote this year.
“What happened?” he asked.
In the audio clip, Perkins was asked who he would be voting for in 2025.
“I’m not,” the ESPN star declared.
“I got caught up in the analytics rather than what my eyes were telling me.
“My eyes told me Anthony Davis should’ve won defensive player of the year.
“But then you get caught up in the analytics and all of a sudden I was voting for Rudy and went against my morals on that.
“I have to punish myself.”
Perkins regularly appears on ESPN shows with outspoken opinions.
The 40-year-old was a center in the league for 15 years.
His career highlight was winning the championship with Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett at the Celtics in 2008.
He retired from the NBA in 2018 after a brief second spell with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Perkins is now part of the ESPN team.
He often clashes with Stephen A. Smith over basketball opinions.
