Bhubaneswar: The Odisha School and Mass Education Department has unveiled the 2025-26 academic calendar, detailing holidays, examinations, and operational hours for primary and secondary schools statewide.
The calendar schedules summer vacation from May 6 to June 19, 2025. Regular school hours are set from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with Saturday classes from 6:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Teachers are required to be present from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The academic year includes 231 working days and 82 holidays, including 52 Sundays.

Christmas Holiday: December 23 to December 31, 2025
Examination Schedule:
First Term Exams: Fourth week of July 2025
Summative-1: Fourth week of September 2025
Formative-2: First week of January 2026
Summative-2: Third week of March 2026
Class 10 Annual Exams: Last week of February 2026
Class 9 Exams: Second week of March 2026
Study Review: Second week of February 2026
District and block education officers, along with school principals, are directed to strictly follow the calendar.
