A CUSTOMER has canceled her Hello Fresh subscription after the company refused to deliver her meals due to the weather – despite it being sunny that day.
The baffling incident left her on the phone to representatives for weeks as she tried to get her order delivered.
HelloFreshThe baffling incident left her on the phone to representatives for weeks as she tried to get her order delivered[/caption]The customer, named Amy, ranted in the comment section of a Facebook post last month as she shared her terrible experience with Hello Fresh.
She slammed the company, saying that she would “NOT RECOMMEND HELLO FRESH SERVICES TO ANYONE!!!!”
The story came to light after a prospective Hello Fresh customer asked on Facebook if anyone had used the service before.
The harmless question was looking for recommendations before making a purchase.
But the user had no idea the fury he would unleash.
Amy commented under the post with something considerably less glowing than a reccomendation.
She alleged: I Just had the most horrible experience with these people for the past three weeks!!
“They make promises they cannot keep.
“They changed couriers from UPS to FedEx and FedEx WILL NOT deliver to my home!
“They keep claiming “severe weather conditions”.
Amy then revealed what the weather was actually like on that day.
She continued: “Perhaps the driver left his sunscreen at home because the sun was shining the day he wrote that!
“I have been on the phone and chatting with representatives at Hello Fresh for weeks now and have gotten NOWHERE.
“I just canceled my account.
“I DO NOT RECOMMEND HELLO FRESH SERVICES TO ANYONE!!!!”
A ROUGH IN THE DIAMOND
The majority of the comments were fairly positive, leaving Amy’s to stick out like a sore thumb.
There were a couple other negative ones, however.
Another Hello Fresh customer posted: “I hated it. Nothing was actually fresh and the veggies were on the verge of rotten.”
And someone else added: “Waste of time.”
Top Grocery Delivery Apps:
Shoppers can save time by getting someone else to get their groceries for them using a variety of apps and services.
Instacart: Works with major retailers including Albertsons, ALDI, Costco, CVS, Kroger, Sam’s Club, and Wegmans. Groceries can be delivered as quickly as one hour and can be arranged to suit your schedule. However, prices can differ compared to those that are in-store. There is a $99 per year or $9.99 per month membership fee.
Amazon Fresh: This is an off-shoot of Amazon. It offers customers fresh groceries and household goods. The service works similarly to Instacart and offers same-day delivery and exclusive offers to those with Amazon Prime.
Walmart Grocery: Walmart shoppers can place orders via the Walmart app and either pick them up or have them delivered to their door. The retailer calls it “the easiest way to shop.”
Shipt: Membership costs $99 per year with unlimited free deliveries on orders over $35. It enables customers to speak directly with their assigned Shipt shoppers to make special requests. The company also works closely with Target.
Kroger Delivery: Kroger shoppers can get their groceries taken to their door at a delivery time that suits them. It also offers customers the chance to spend digital coupons so they do not miss out on key deals. However, the retailer’s service does not offer same-day delivery.
Target Same-Day Delivery: Orders can arrive within a few hours of being placed. Shoppers can get real-time updates on their orders which will allow for last-minute changes and special requests. Target states that there are “no delivery markups” and Target Circle deals are included. Shoppers can pay per delivery or become a Target Circle 360 member for unlimited deliveries.
Others praised the quality of the ingredients and how healthy it is.
It is not know exactly why Hello Fresh canceled the order, and it is not clear if Amy ever received her delivery.
If she canceled her membership, then it could be assumed that she never did.
It is also not known if she was ever refunded if she didn’t get it.
