CRIS Collinsworth is set to remain with NBC Sports for years to come.
Despite constant calls for his retirement, the former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver is staying put.

Collinsworth signed a contract with NBC earlier in the year to remain with NBC Sports through the 2029 NFL season.
He currently makes over $12 million per year, according to The Athletic.
Before he signed the contract, he revealed that he wasn’t really thinking much about his retirement.
“We’ll see how I’m doing after that [and] what they want to do,” told Barrett Media.
“I really don’t know; I really haven’t thought about that too much, so we’ll figure it out when we get there.”
Collinsworth could have been removed from NBC soon after Drew Brees was brought into the network for the 2021 season.
However, Brees quickly fell out of favor after one year with NBC.
A poor playoff broadcast performance was the nail in his coffin with the network.
NBC did replace Collinsworth’s broadcast partner, Al Michaels, with Mike Tirico after Michaels left for Amazon Prime.
“Mike is really talented – I mean really talented – and really works hard,” Collinsworth said.
“He does all the special teams stuff for us, he talks to the general managers most weeks [and] he is a research machine.
“He just absolutely is and I have great respect for that, but we’ve also kind of struck a personal relationship that I was afraid I was going to really miss because Al and I were really good friends.”
However, Collinsworth isn’t being touched, and will be on the call for the Super Bowl in 2026.
