I Tried Hidden Valley Ranch’s New Flavor Lineup, and the Winner is a Clear Standout ...Saudi Arabia

As a fan of ranch dressing, I would love to blindly say that each new flavor is worthy of your attention. However, I recently had the pleasure of trying each one out for myself, so I thought I’d report back here with my thoughts.

Hidden Valley Ranch Flavor Lineup

Kickin’ Cajun Blackened Ranch

Described as a classic ranch dressing with a bold Cajun kick, I found this flavor to come in a very close second to Cracked Pepper Ranch. Because of its spicy nature, the bottle is labeled as ‘hot,’ albeit just 1 out of 4 peppers on the heat scale. I found it to have a pleasant kick that never gets too intense, even after using it exclusively as a dip for fried chicken. The cajun flavoring is a welcomed alternative to the traditional ranch flavor and blends beautifully with chicken whether it's fried or grilled. 

I honestly expected this flavor to be my favorite, and it still manages to find itself in the top 3 despite not being number 1. Advertised as the perfect dressing for drizzling on nachos and tacos, I found this flavor to be the least ranch-tasting dressing of the entire lineup. It’s definitely a great addition to fresh salads and bowls of all kinds, and would add a welcomed level of brightness to any dish it’s added to. Conversely, I found this flavor to be just okay as a dip, as I feel like it really shines when used exclusively as a dressing.

Sweet BBQ Ranch

Along with the new flavor lineup, Hidden Valley Ranch has also released 2 new seasoning blends: Creamy Jalapeño and Garlic Ranch. You can currently snag all 7 new flavor creations at a retailer near you where Hidden Valley is available. And while my preferences as to which flavors standout in the bunch have been made clear, I’m still interested in how they stack up for everybody else. It’s time to bust out your favorite recipes and get your ranch groove on.
