DENVER (KDVR) -- A shelter-in-place has been issued in Fort Collins, and residents north of the Hickory Village neighborhood are being told to remain inside while police are in the area.
At 8:44 a.m. on Wednesday, a Larimer Emergency Telephone Authority (LETA) alert notification went out to residents in Larimer County, issuing a shelter-in-place near the 1700 block of N Whitcomb Street in Fort Collins. This is in the area north of North Shields Ponds Natural Area.
The alert told people there is police activity in the area and people should remain inside their homes or businesses, while everyone else should avoid the area.
