TRADER Joe’s is officially relaunching a limited-edition fan-favorite item after it went viral online and sold out two previous times.
The beloved mini tote bags, priced at just $3 in store, have become a cult favorite among Trader Joe’s lovers – so much so that they are being resold on online platforms for as much as $1,000.

Fans of the specialty store are so loyal to the company that branded merchandise, such as the Trader Joe’s mini canvas totes, turned into a viral sensation drawing in long lines and selling out multiple times.
Much to the anticipation of shoppers, the $2.99 mini bags will relaunch in Trader Joe’s stores beginning on April 8.
“The exact date they will be available in each neighborhood Trader Joe’s will vary,” the grocery chain told USA Today.
Each Trader Joe’s location is expected to receive one pallet of the mini totes, making them a hot commodity.
The adorable bags were first launched in March 2024, quickly going viral on social media platforms and selling out.
The craze behind the mini totes pushed shoppers to scoop up some of the bags and list them on resale platforms such as eBay and Poshmark for anywhere between $100 and $1,000.
Some shoppers found the upselling practices to be ridiculous.
“It’s a bag people, grow up,” said one Facebook user.
“eBay needs to be prosecuted for allowing this kinda price gouging. If a brick-and-mortar retailer did this, they’d be fined,” wrote another.
Following the frenzy surrounding the first launch, Trader Joe’s restocked its shelves with a limited supply of the mini totes last September, which quickly sold out once again.
TINY TREASURE
The beloved miniature bags measure 13 by 11 by six inches and are essentially a smaller version of the iconic Trader Joe’s canvas tote bags.
The tiny totes are made from cotton and polyester just like the larger ones, and feature a side pocket with the iconic Trader Joe’s logo stitched on.
For the first two launches, shoppers could choose between red, yellow, blue, and green bags.
This time around, Trader Joe’s is bringing a touch of spring to the bag drop, featuring a series of pastel shades.
The miniature bags will be available in Delicate Pink, Baby Blue, Mint Green, and Lovely Lavender, per the Trader Joe’s website.

As Trader Joe’s fans welcome back the iconic mini bags, they are also waving goodbye to beloved products that have been discontinued.
For example, a fan favorite breakfast essential got the axe – but a shopper spotted an “incredible” replacement.
Plus, Trader Joe’s revealed that an “easy breakfast” staple was “to be discontinued” – but disappointed shoppers spotted a “copycat recipe.”
