SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- The lineup for the 2025 Stern Grove Festival has been unveiled with indie rock mainstays Sleater-Kinney, musical icon Diana Ross, and eclectic local outfit Michael Franti & Spearhead among the headliners. This summer will mark the 88th season of the long-running festival.
Additional headliners this summer include Damian and Stephen Marley, The Pointer Sisters, Orville Peck, Phantogram, Girl Talk, The California Honeydrops, Channel Tres and the San Francisco Symphony.

This year's lineup blends "legends, new talent, and a powerful commitment to community," festival organizers said Tuesday.
"We're doing everything we can to preserve this incredible San Francisco tradition," said the festival's executive director, Bob Fiedler. "In a world where most concerts are very costly, this is one of the last remaining places where music is free, accessible, and truly for everyone."
This year's festival will conclude with the "Big Picnic Weekend" over Aug. 16 and 17, featuring Damian and Stephen Marley on Saturday and Diana Ross on Sunday.

All concerts will remain free, but attendees must now enter a ticket lottery for each show.
