MOST relationships blossom from a mutual attraction to each other.

But one couple have defied odds and have even gotten married despite having different sexual preferences.

Samantha Greenstone and Josh Hoff legally got married last year despite Josh identifying as a gay man.

And that’s not all, the couple even had intercourse leaving much of the internet puzzled.

In one clip Samantha said: “I’m marrying a gay man.

“And we’re literally at the courthouse right now. We’ve just obtained our marriage licenseand it’s so exciting.”

The pair met nine years ago as friends, but their connection soon blossomed into something different.

Two years after they became friends, Samantha realised she had romantic feelings for Josh and told him, it turned out that he felt the same way and the pair began dating.

The LA-based couple explained to Business Insider that they were in a “mixed-orientation” relationship, where they have different sexual orientations. Josh is a gay man, and Samantha is a straight woman.

Many people have confused their relationship as a ‘Lavender Marriage,’ a term used to describe one or two people from the LGBTQ+ community who marry for the safety or convenience of appearing to be heterosexual.

But the pair insist that it doesn’t apply to them.

“I’m 100% fulfilled by our marriage. So to say we’re in a ‘lavender marriage,’ I think, takes away what this really is, which is just people who love each other for who they are and not what they are,” he told the publication.

“A lavender marriage feels like a marriage of convenience versus a marriage of just true pure love like ours.”

In other TikTok videos, the pair have also shared candid details about what they get up to in the bedroom.

Samantha revealed: “Do I sleep with my gay husband? Interesting question. Yes.

“And not just side by side under the covers. No. And we don’t cut a hole in the sheet either like the Puritans. Nope.

Celebs that waited until marriage to have sex

Celebrities tend to keep the details of their sex life private, but when it comes to their choice to wait until marriage, some stars are actually willing to open up.

Jessica Simpson – Before marrying Nick Lachey, Jessica was very open about her decision to remain a virgin. She said she was nervous about discussing the topic with Nick for the first time, but he “stayed patient” until they tied the knot in 2002.

Justin and Hailey Bieber – Justin may have been with other people before his wife Hailey, but when they reconnected in 2019, he was more than a year into a self-imposed tenure of celibacy. Together, the couple decided to continue to refrain from having sex until they were married.

Adriana Lima – Victoria’s Secret model Adriana’s Catholic faith influenced her decision to save herself for marriage. She explained potential suitors would have to respect her decision — and if they weren’t willing to wait, then they weren’t the right person for her.

Miranda Kerr and Evan Spiegel – When Miranda started dating Snapchat founder Evan, the couple decided to wait until marriage to have sex because of Evan’s traditional beliefs. In an interview, Miranda was asked about the possibility of having children before their wedding and she said it wouldn’t be possible: “Not until after we get married. My partner is very traditional. We can’t…I mean we’re just…waiting,” she told The Times.

Kevin Jonas – All the Jonas brothers famously wore purity rings for much of their adolescence, in part due to their religious upbringing. While Nick and Joe ended up taking their rings off, Kevin saw things through until he tied the knot with his wife Danielle in 2009.

“We do it the good old-fashioned way. Yep. And if you’re confused what that means, then it’s not our job to teach you the birds and the bees.”

“I know it’s mind bending to a lot of you to be like, well, he’s gay. How could he be sleeping with a woman?” she continued.

But Josh added: “This isn’t a woman. This is my wife. This is my soulmate and my partner.”

The clip posted to her TikTok account @samanthawynngreenstone has since gone viral with over 4.4 million views and 352k likes.

People were quick to take to the comments seemingly still confused by the couple’s relationship.

One person wrote: “I know everyone is saying it’s a lavender marriage, but is it lavender if they’re actually romantically involved? I think that’s what a lot of their content is about.”

Another commented: “After learning about the origins of lavender marriage, what was your reason? Just curious.”

“People not understanding it. He’s gay, he would normally go for men. But he FELL IN LOVE WITH HER. she’s the exception to the rule. Soulmates don’t have gender or sexuality, they just are,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “I’m still confused, I don’t get it.”

“To be honest, who cares. As long as you’re happy, no one else is hurt, carry on,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “I never ask personal questions but thanks for the clarification. Not gonna lie, still im very confused and have thousands of questions that I’m not gonna ask.”
