DELAWARE, Ohio (WCMH) – Local police are searching for a missing 21-year-old man who vanished from Delaware, Ohio, in March.
Trenton Rollins went missing on Monday, March 17. Before disappearing, Rollins lived with his mother in Delaware and had recently started working at a contracting company in Columbus. His sister, Kaitlynn Harvey, said his absence is out of character, as he likes to stick to a routine and does not go out much.
“It's hard to make sense of something that makes no sense,” Harvey said. “It's just hard to believe that somebody drops off the face of the earth at noon on a Monday and nobody saw anything.”

A Ring camera recorded him leaving home on March 16 around 4 a.m.; his family assumed this was him heading to work. He was captured wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants and a black book bag, before leaving in his 2018 BMW 430i. Law enforcement later discovered after leaving home he stopped by a Sheetz on Sunbury Road in Delaware and bought a snack -- this marked the last known sighting of Rollins.
It is unclear whether Rollins showed up to work or not on March 16, however, his car was not captured on any cameras on his typical route. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until that evening, Harvey said.
“When night time rolled around, we thought it was really odd that he wasn't home because he’s just one of those people, he would go to work or go to school and he would come home,” Harvey said. “He didn't really do much, and if he did, he would let my mom know before he was going out.”
Family members sent him texts throughout that evening, but they would not go through, Harvey said. The next morning, on March 17, Rollins’ mother reported him missing around 11 a.m., according to a police report.
Rollins' family later discovered that hours before he was reported missing, his car was seen on a security camera at his mother’s place of work, which was also his place of employment up until early March. His face could not be seen on the footage; just his car pulling out of the lot was captured, according to Harvey. He did not make any known contact with anyone inside, but his phone’s IP address was detected at the location from about 8 to 9 a.m., Harvey said.
Then, around noon, his phone’s IP address was located in the approximate area of North Sandusky Street in Downtown Delaware, according to Harvey.
“Basically he was out there and since then has literally vanished,” Harvey said.
After Rollins disappeared, Harvey started a Facebook group dedicated to finding him, which has quickly amassed thousands of members. Along with sharing Rollins story, Harvey pleaded with anyone who may have doorbell or dash camera footage from the area of North Sandusky Street on March 17 to see if they captured Rollins or his car, and if so, to contact police.
“There has to be camera footage somewhere that can help put a timeline together better or point us in the right direction,” Harvey said.
Delaware police said they believe Rollins was experiencing a "behavioral health episode" at the time of his disappearance.
"We have no facts, at present, to indicate foul play on the part of Trenton leaving," said Police Chief Adam Moore in an April 2 email to NBC4. "We believe he left the residence of his own volition. ... We’ve explored multiple options to locate Trenton but have been unsuccessful thus far."
NBC4 reached out to Delaware police for an update on Monday, but has not heard back. Harvey said her family did not notice any differences in Rollins' behavior leading up to his disappearance, and claimed he did not have any mental health diagnoses or take any medication for a mental health condition.
Rollins is 5 feet 7 and 137 pounds. He has braces, a long diagonal scar on his right arm and a small scar on his throat. If anyone has any information about his disappearance, they may contact the Delaware Police Department at 740-203-1111. His family may also be reached at findtrentonrollins@gmail.com.
