So, we wanted to ensure our "Better Than Ever Beauty Awards" was golden—the product of a meticulous process that dug deeper than reading other people's website reviews. It began with an open call for nominations from leading, trusted brands and retailers. We wanted to know: What products do your customers swear by? Which ones are your top and repeat sellers (because there's no endorsement like a long-term customer)? What are the newest products coming out, and ones that deliver results?
Then, we turned inward and had a panel of seasoned beauty editors hand-test each product for four weeks. Again, beauty is personal, and we wouldn't want to bring you anything other than products we could confidently say helped us meet our goals. Our editors monitored and evaluated each product based on visible results, texture, application and overall performance. Finally, we looked at scientific backing for the purported benefits, expert recommendations and value for money.

"It did not disappoint," Foye says. "The line has specific long-lasting and all-day products, but I found all [of them]...long-wearing." Foye is as wary of mascara as she is of lipstick, saying 95% make her tear up.
