On April 5, Clay, 46, and his 16-year-old son attended the opening night of BOOP! The Musical in New York City.
The father-son duo sported nearly identical grins as they posed for photos on the red carpet. Clay donned a blue turtleneck with a burnt orange and white striped blazer overtop and gray pants. Meanwhile, Parker rocked a black suit and pants with a black-and-white patterned shirt.
For some of the photos, Clay and Parker posed with David Foster, who composed the music for the Broadway musical. Foster's sister, Jaymes, is Clay's best friend and Parker's biological mother; the American Idol Season 2 runner-up welcomed Parker with her via IVF in 2008.

Meanwhile, some hoped Parker would follow in Clay's musical footsteps.
Yet another shared, "So great to see this! Parker is certainly a very handsome young man. Music is in his genes wonder if he will pursue it?"
