If you live somewhere with four seasons and you have a green thumb, odds are you’re already making your garden plans. And in doing so, maybe you've realized you need some type of raised planter. These are helpful even if you don’t have a full garden of your own—because of an apartment or small space—or if you want to plant some herbs or vegetables separate from your other plants. Whatever the reason, if you’re looking for one, Aldi is the place to go this week because they’re releasing an affordable wooden raised planter. Plus it looks just like styles from Pottery Barn and Lowe’s that are almost four times the price. From April 9 to April 15, Aldi will be selling a Belavi Wooden Raised Planter for $39.99. It’ll be in the Aldi Finds aisle of local U.S. stores, and they seem to be a hit each year. Their wooden planter is a classic raised planter design: it has a large rectangular box where you plant whatever your heart desires. Then it has four legs attached to each corner with metal covers on the bottom of each. Belavi Wooden Raised Planter, $39.99 at Aldi
It’s a pretty sizable planter too, measuring 33.1 inches long, 16.3 inches wide and 31.7 inches tall, and it’s able to hold up to 220 lbs. The Belavi planter comes in a natural wood finish made from “FSC-certified Chinese Fir.” To top it all off, it is a fully functional planter (it's not simply decorative). Cedar Garden Bed, $149 at Pottery Barn
As we mentioned before, this Aldi planter is similar to others out there, like Pottery Barn’s Cedar Garden Bed. This one costs $149 and has the same design as the Belavi Wooden Raised Planter. It’s a large rectangular box for planting with four legs raising it off the ground. It’s nearly the same size as Aldi’s, measuring 23 inches in diameter and 22 inches tall. Even though Pottery Barn’s planter also has a natural finish, it is made from a different material: 100% FSC-certified cedar wood. It comes with a liner and is self-draining as well.
