The 21-year-old took to Instagram on April 1 to invite fans into the adventure, writing in the caption, "Giving this grumpy little bloke a helping hand out of harms way!" He added that there were a "Couple near misses ?," which were on display in the video as the snake tried to take a bite of the conservationist.
"Walking around the zoo at night and look who we found!" said Robert at the start of the video, introducing the carpet python snake that was slithering on the ground. He noted that the snake was letting out a hiss, calling him a 'little bit grumpy," before explaining that they needed to move him because he was close to the bird aviary, and there was "a good chance he might have a little munch of some of our birds."
