— virat_kohli_18_club (@KohliSensation) April 1, 2025Kohli had earlier announced his retirement from T20Is following India’s World Cup win in 2024. This leaves him with one elusive milestone to achieve – another ODI World Cup title. Virat was a part of the MS Dhoni-led Indian team that lifted the trophy in 2011. Since then, he faced heartbreaks in 2015, 2019 and 2023 consecutively.
While there was a lot of speculations on his ODI retirement earlier this year, he put them to rest by winning the Champions Trophy. He is now targeting the next big thing in 2027 and has no plans of taking retirement from the 50-over format any time soon.
