“I think people misunderstood my personal relationship with my buddy John Stamos," Coulier, 65, exclusively tells Parade for the March cover story. "He knows what makes me laugh, and when he walked out like that, I fell on the floor laughing. It wasn't us making fun of others so much as it was: Let's laugh our way through this because this is a tough journey."
Coulier goes on to tell Parade that the pair didn't understand the criticism that came with Stamos' antics, sharing that it "was confusing to both John and I."
Coulier revealed that he was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin's lymphoma in November last year. That same month, Stamos posted a photo of himself in a bald cap while posing next to Coulier, who had shaved his head.
An overwhelming number of social media users came to the pair's defense via social media, though, with many applauding Coulier and Stamos' close bond.
