The right-arm pacer Satyanarayana Raju is the new recruit of the Mumbai Indians (MI), and he made his debut against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in his team's Indian Premier League 2025 opener and bowled just one over, conceding 13 runs.

Raju was brought to bowl the 17th over of the first innings when Sai Sudharsan was set in the middle. He started off the over with a wide before conceding a six, bowling wide again and giving away a single.

Just as Penumatsa Venkata Satyanarayana Raju was walking back after conceding the six, Hardik Pandya pulled him up and was seen scolding him. Also, the former Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma was frustrated with Raju's bowling.
