A post on the Rock N Roll Experience Facebook account announced the KISS Army Storms Vegas, a special fan event set for Nov. 14-16 at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas, and it’s set to include a special “unmasked” performance by KISS.
The news did not sit well with everyone. Rival hard rocker Dee Snider of Twisted Sister fame took to X, formerly Twitter, on March 23 and shared his displeasure about the news.
Snider is referencing the band’s previously announced plans to retire that are often followed by some sort of reunion gig.
The Las Vegas event celebrates the 50th anniversary of the fan group known as the KISS Army and the 30th anniversary of the first KISS fan convention. “This exclusive, ‘everything KISS’ paradise marks the first time KISS has performed together since retiring from touring in December 2023,” the post says.
“Guess Gene needs more $,” wrote one.
“I’m ok with lower-key non-makeup shows, definitely not the same as coming back with the full sha-bang, it’s respectful to the legacy,” another fan wrote.
