Wilson is likely a short term option with how late in his career he is, and it is still possible that the team drafts a quarterback in April.
Despite the short-term deal, Wilson is still excited about playing in New York and shared his thoughts on his X account.
“Been here before… can’t wait to do it again,” he said with a picture of Metlife Stadium.
Wilson had a decent season in 2024, passing for 2,482 yards with 16 touchdowns and five interceptions.
He was even named to the Pro Bowl at the end of the season.
Wilson should be a large upgrade from the likes of Daniel Jones, Tommy DeVito, and Drew Lock with a full season of work.
NFL fans aren’t sure signing Wilson was the right move for the Giants though, and shared their thoughts on social media.
“Wouldn’t have picked giants as the place he lands,” one fan said.
“This guy way too old and he already had his glory moment,” another fan said.
“Well, there goes the Giants chances at the playoffs,” a third fan said.
“No hope for the Giants,” a fourth fan said.
“Nobody else wanted him,” a fifth fan said.
While Giants fans might not be thrilled about the move, members of the roster have shared their excitement about Wilson coming to New York.

Wilson is likely the new No. 1 option for the Giants, but he will have to compete with Jameis Winston who was just signed by the team.
Winston earned a two-year, $8 million year from the team which does signal he is more of a backup option.
However, he is a viable option if Wilson goes down with injury at any point.
