In celebration of the iconic Nashville music venue's 100th anniversary, Brooks and his wife, Trisha Yearwood, were among the performers who took the stage to pay tribute to some of their fellow country music stars.
Brooks and Yearwood sang a duet in honor of George Jones and Tammy Wynette at the event on Wednesday, March 19, but fans had mixed feelings about the performance.
"Wish Garth would have just sang the song instead of trying to impersonate George," one person tweeted after the performance.
"So disappointed Garth was invited," another person added, noting they "Had to turn it off."

Brooks, 63, has been dealing with fan backlash ever since it came to light in October 2024 that the country crooner was accused of sexual assault and battery by one of his former hair and makeup artists.
Brooks later spoke out to deny the allegations, insisting that he was filing a countersuit against the accuser for extortion and defamation.
"Eff Garth Brooks, and eff everyone in the room applauding him," another angry user tweeted.
