CNBC reported that the company Yum, that owns Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut will be rolling out AI order-taking and other enhancements.
This wider rollout will also feature computer vision and restaurant performance assessments fueled by AI.
It is not entirely clear what this will look like for the average customer, but it promises to improve the quality of the overall quality of the locations.
Other restaurant chains like McDonald’s and Wendy’s have been testing this kind of tech with other companies, but nothing successful has emerged yet.
Yum is teaming up with Nvidia to expand its AI focus, which has already come to some of its other brands.
The tech has already been seen in some Pizza Hut and Taco Bell spots.
But this announcement promises to speed up the implementation.
The broader rollout to more than 500 locations across Yum’s portfolio is expected for the second quarter of 2025.
A specific release schedule has not yet been confirmed.
The terms of the Nvidia partnership were not disclosed, but Yum said it was “subject to mutually agreeable definitive agreements.”
Investors have remained hesitant on Ai in the past few years, but both Yum and Nvidia have seen a climb in share price.
2025 IS FOR TACOS
As well as advancements in AI, Taco Bell is introducing new menu changes for the year that fans are sure to love.
The Purple Chile sauce that has made with three types of pepper.
The sauce is produced using Aji panca, habanero, and ghost pepper and diners even have to sign a waiver form.
That is because the sauce is so spicy, as reported by Forbes.
The cool ranch Doritos Locos Tacos will be making a comeback, and the double decker taco will be, too.

Bosses brought it back in October last year for a limited time only.
However, it wasn’t enough for some diners who called for the snack to become a permanent menu staple.
“I just want my double decker taco back on the menu permanently,” one X user wrote in February.
They responded to a post on the restaurant’s X account about cheesy burritos.
“Please bring back the double decker taco,” another begged.
Additions also include new filled churros, Mountain Dew Baja Blast and Taco Bell’s crispy chicken nuggets.
