The IPL 2025 is around the corner and it will also mark the return of MS Dhoni back to the cricket. The keeper-batter will be taking the field for the first time since the IPL 2024 and will be donning the Chennai Super Kings attire, potentially for the one final time.
Dhoni, 43, has been working hard on his fitness, and with the way he is showing up, it seems that he can play for another few years. Maintaining fitness at this age surely is one of the hard tasks, but the keeper-batter has been making sure that he stays true to his work ethic.
He looked very fit and solid - Harbhajan Singh on MS Dhoni
Harbhajan Singh added that MS Dhoni is showing how things are done even at the age of 43. He mentioned that the keeper-batter is not just surviving but is dominating. Speaking to ESPNCricinfo, he said:
"As long as the hunger is there, you will be able to do it. It's hard without playing any cricket (throughout the year). He is showing how it's done. He must be doing something better than the others. He is not just surviving, he is dominating all the bowlers."
He is the first one to come to the ground and the last one to leave, even at this age - Harbhajan Singh on MS Dhoni
"The practice that he has been doing for one month. The more balls you play, you get that timing, flow, and sixes going. He bats for 2-3 hours every day in Chennai. He is the first one to come to the ground and the last one to leave, even at this age. That's the difference."
