Harmanpreet Kaur also praised the West Indies all-rounder Hayley Matthews for her outstanding performance in the ongoing Women’s Premier League 2025. She is currently the leading wicket-taker in the WPL 2025 with 17 wickets in nine matches, averaging 15.88.
Kaur added, “She's someone who's always wanted to bowl for the team. She's someone who even wants to start with a smile; she always, you know, wants to take the first over. So, I think someone who is so excited to ball all the time, I think that person, just imagine how confident she is.”

Harmanpreet is confident that Mumbai’s deep batting lineup will be a key advantage against Delhi Capitals in the WPL 2025 final. She believes that having strong hitters down the order allows her to play with more freedom, without the pressure of holding back.
Kaur signed off by saying, “The team has a very long batting lineup. So, that gave us confidence that I don’t need to wait for a bit of time and rotate strikes and play the big shots only when the time is right. That has given me the leverage to go and play free cricket.”
