On March 12, Klebba, who voices Grumpy in the movie, told TMZ he was "seriously bummed and a bit pissed" about Disney reportedly scaling back the Snow White premiere.
The scheduled March 15 premiere will reportedly not include dozens of media outlets that Disney typically invites to such events, Variety reported, with an invite only extended to photographers and a house crew.
Klebba shared that Zegler and Gadot "shouldn’t have overshadowed everyone else’s hard work" by voicing their support of Palestine and Israel, respectively. Instead, the premiere "deserved to be a major event."
Following the initial news of the live-action remake, actor Peter Dinklage spoke out against the concept.
Dinklage continued, "It makes no sense to me. You’re progressive in one way, but you’re still making that f--king backward story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together. Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soapbox? I guess I’m not loud enough.”
Meanwhile, Zegler has spoken out in defense of making the film's more feminist plot.
Snow White hits theaters on March 21.
