Arkansas is reportedly making a notable hire for Razorback athletics.
According to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, Arkansas is turning to Boston Celtics Director of Scouting Remy Cofield to serve as the GM of the athletic department.

According to Real GM, Cofield was first hired as a Corporate Sales Executive by Boston in 2012-13. He was then promoted to Basketball Operations Assistant from 2013-14 to 2018-19. A promotion to College Scout followed from 2019-20 to 2021-22. He also served as the General Manager of the Maine Red Claws (now Celtics) from 2019-20 to 2021-22. He was promoted to the Celtics’ Director of Scouting in 2022-23.
As Director of Scouting, Cofield watched college, NBA, international and G League basketball, evaluating potential moves for the Celtics. He has also been a general manager for the Celtics’ Maine affiliate, overseeing basketball operations, trades and hires.
Cofield brings championship experience to Fayetteville. The Celtics won the NBA championship in 2024 over the Dallas Mavericks in 5 games.
