Any time a guy is scratched from the lineup is a bit of a hold-your-breath moment, but when the team uses the word “precautionary” and the game at-issue is a Spring Training game, you can USUALLY rest largely assured of a quick return.
Thankfully, that’s expected to be the case for Cubs center fielder Pete Crow-Armstrong, who was scratched from yesterday’s lineup with hamstring tightness.
He should be back in there today, and the whole thing really was a matter of being overly cautious given the calendar:
Pete Crow-Armstrong isn't concerned by the right hamstring tightness he felt during outfield work before yesterday's game. He is slated to be in the Cubs lineup today. He called it the mature decision to not push it by playing yesterday, though added if it was the regular season he would've played.
