STARBUCKS’ new spring menu will be rolled out across coffeehouses today – but it means some drinks that have been available for years will be relics of the past.

Execs have worked to trim down their selection of food and drink in its bid to strive toward excellence.

A total of 13 drinks have been shelved, including nine Frappuccinos.

One of those is the caffe vanilla Frappuccino – a cold drink that has been on the menu for more than two decades.

And, Starbucks’ decision to retire the beverage has caused a stir online.

“Starbucks is discontinuing my drink for the last 22 years: the Caffe Vanilla Frappucino,” one person said on X.

“Why? Because it’s ‘less popular.’

“Nobody knows this drink even exists. It hasn’t been on the menu in ages. So dumb.”

Another posted a heartbroken emoji as they mourned the news the drink would be axed.

“Starbucks is getting rid of the caffe vanilla Frappuccino and white hot chocolate,” a third fan said.

“THOSE ARE MY TWO FAVES!! I’m so sad right now.”

The caffe vanilla Frappuccino is not the only drink that has been shelved.

Java chip, white chocolate mocha, espresso, and chai crème Frappuccinos have been retired.

Hot drinks such as a white hot chocolate, and royal English breakfast latte have also been removed from the menus.

Shoppers will no longer be able to buy an iced matcha lemonade, or honey almond milk flat white.

But, a selection of new drinks will be rolled out at locations in Chicago, New York City, and Seattle.

“Spring is blossoming,” Starbucks bosses said in a statement.

Shoppers will be able to try the Starbucks Reserve Iced Ube Coconut latte, lavender matcha melt, and Sakura float.

The jalapeno chicken pocket might be returning soon, as per USA Today.

The menu change is part of Starbucks bosses desire to cut menus by 30% by the end of the year.

“We’re simplifying our menu to focus on fewer, more popular items, executed with excellence,” they said.

“This will make way for innovation, help reduce wait times, improve quality and consistency, and align with our core identity as a coffee company.”

Menu shakeups are not the only changes that have taken place at coffeehouses.

Starbucks has ended its seven-year open door policy.

This means shoppers must buy items if they want to use the bathroom.

Shoppers who buy hot brewed coffee or hot tea will be able to get a refill if they drink in cafes.

But, they must bring in a ceramic mug, as reported by Axios.

Condiment stations have also made a comeback after being removed during the pandemic.
