DALY CITY — A 29-year-old San Francisco woman was arrested Saturday after police said she startled a horse and caused it to throw a minor from a horse last month.
It all happened at the Thornton Beach Recreation Area during a riding lesson on Feb. 23, according to a statement from Daly City police Sgt. Matthew Ciucci.

Jail records did not list her in custody on Monday.
According to police, the woman snuck up behind the horse and pulled its tail while the rider still was in the saddle. The fall injured the young rider, though police did not say how severely.
Police said the woman left the scene before police arrived but that they later identified her and found her. They are still seeking information and urged anyone with anything to share regarding the incident to call the Daly City police investigative division at 650-991-8270.
