The Instagram account Long Island Connection shared a series of unearthed celebrity school photos on Friday, Feb. 28, bringing fans back in time to when Joel, now 75, was just a teen.
The "Piano Man" crooner, a New York native, appeared in the collection of celebrity school photos, which also included photos of Matt Cardona, Lorraine Bracco and Pat Benatar when they were in school. Joel could be seen posing in a black and white image taken in 1964, when he was about 15 years old.

Instead of attending summer school to get his diploma, Joel decided to pursue music instead.
