Severance 59, Greeley Central 47, in Severance: The Silver Knights extended their win streak to 13 with a double-digit win over Greeley Central. Severance (15-1 Class 5A/4A Longs Peak League, 18-5 overall) hasn’t lost a game since Jan. 7. Juniors Blake Varney and Damarii Wright, along with freshman Christian Powell all notched over 10 points. The loss drops Greeley Central to 4-12 in league play, 6-17 overall.

Fort Lupton (5-0 Class 2A/3A/4A Patriot League, 18-4 overall) jumped on the Wolverines early, taking a 20-point lead into the halftime break. The Bluedevils cap their regular season Tuesday at Basalt.
Berthoud 76, Northridge 41, in Berthoud: The Grizzlies dropped their third straight to end the regular season, falling to Berthoud. The loss moves Northridge to 3-13 in Class 5A/4A Longs Peak League play, 5-18 overall.
Thompson Valley 53, Roosevelt 50, in Loveland: The Roughriders continued a late-season skid with a close loss to the Eagles. In a close game throughout, dropping the third quarter 18-10 proved the difference leading to Roosevelt’s (7-9 in Class 5A/4A Longs Peak League play, 11-12 overall) fourth-straight loss.
Akron 75, Briggsdale 35, in Briggsdale: The Falcons were never able to get their footing against a strong Akron team. The loss drops Briggsdale to 0-4 in Class 1A North Central League Play, 5-15 overall ahead of a matchup Tuesday against Bethune.
Girls basketball
Greeley Central 53, Severance 47, in Severance: The Wildcats won their second straight game to bring their record back above .500. Senior Madison Cepeda paced Greeley Central with 17 points, and sophomore Leah Archibueque pulled down 12 rebounds. Central moves to 7-9 in Class 5A/4A Longs Peak League play, 12-11 overall. Severance falls to 5-11, 7-16 overall.

Sophomore Sophia Carbajal tore through Berthoud, scoring 35 points and grabbed a staggering 23 rebounds. The Grizzlies move to 10-6 in Class 5A/4A Longs Peak League Play, 15-8 overall.
Roosevelt 65, Thompson Valley 50, in Loveland: The Roughriders stayed perfect in conference play to end their regular season. Junior Kyla Hollier paced the offense, scoring 27 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the free throw line. She also pulled down 16 rebounds to move Roosevelt to 14-0 in Class 5A/4A Longs Peak League play, 20-3 overall.
Akron 41, Briggsdale 38, in Briggsdale: The Falcons lost just their fifth game of the season in a low-scoring affair against Akron. The loss drops the Falcons to 3-1 in Class 1A North Central League play, 14-5 overall.
