University 55, Yuma 35

Senior Addison Harding scored a season-high 24 points Friday, and the Class 4A state-ranked No. 1 Bulldogs remained undefeated after a victory over the 3A Outlaws.

The win was the 20th in a row this season for University, which hosts Holy Family in a match-up of Class 4A state-ranked teams Monday evening. No. 5 Holy Family lost to Class 5A No. 2 Mead 58-47 Friday in the 6A/5A/4A Granite Peak League.

Harding was 11 of 13 from the field against Yuma (10-11), scoring more than double her season average and team-best 10.7 points. Harding grabbed five rebounds and had two blocks.

Juniors Natalie Trujillo and Natalie Galindo added 12 and seven points, respectively, for University. Maddie McNair had seven rebounds, five assists and two steals.

Yuma led 13-11 after the first quarter. University outscored the Outlaws 35-11 in  the second and third quarters.

Dayspring Christian Academy 60, SkyView Academy 39: The Eagles jumped out to a 16-8 lead after the first quarter, and outscored the Hawks 31-13 in the second to win a 3A/2A/1A Mile High League game. Dayspring, on a three-game winning streak, is 8-4 in the league and 10-10 overall.

Briggsdale 37, Arickaree 33: The Class 1A state-ranked No. 6 Falcons improved to 14-4 overall with a nonleague win over Arickaree.

Boys basketball

University 73, Yuma 72: The Class 4A state-ranked Bulldogs scored 21 points in the fourth quarter to pull out a nonleague win over the state-ranked Class 3A Outlaws.

Yuma led 54-52 at the end of the third quarter. The Outlaws are 16-5 and ranked fourth in Class 3A as of Feb. 17.

Juniors John Elbe and Coehn Nitzel scored 24 and 20 points, respectively, for 16-4 University, ranked 15th earlier this week. Elbe grabbed nine rebounds and was credited with nine assists. Nitzel had eight rebounds, nine assists and eight steals.

University hosts Class 4A 12th ranked Holy Family (12-9) on Monday evening.

Arickaree 69, Briggsdale 52: The Bison won their third consecutive game after a nonleague game against Briggsdale. Arickaree is 12-7 overall. Briggsdale is 5-14.

SkyView Academy 78, Dayspring Christian Academy 37: SkyView defeated the Eagles for its 11th straight win in a 3A/2A/1A Mile High League game. SkyView is 12-1 in the league and 17-3 overall. Dayspring Christian is 6-7 in the league and 8-12 overall.
