POLICE REPORTS

The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymously report crime information, call 707-463-6205.

TRAFFIC STOP: An officer stopped a vehicle at the intersection of South State Street and Luce Avenue at 12:22 a.m. Feb. 15 and arrested a 24-year-old Ukiah man on suspicion of driving on a suspended/revoked license and violating his probation.

THEFT: Caller in the 1100 block of South State Street reported at 7:04 a.m. Feb. 15 that money had been stolen. An officer responded and reported that no prosecution was desired and the suspect had left. The officer took a report of theft.

DEAD CAT: Caller at the corner of West Gobbi and Court streets reported at 8:05 a.m. Feb. 15 that a dead cat was at the location.

911 HANGUP: A 911 call was placed and hung up at 9:28 a.m. Feb. 15 in the 700 block of North Oak Street. An officer responded and reported that the person there was fine.

COMBATIVE PATIENT: Caller at Adventist Health Ukiah Valley reported at 10:38 a.m. Feb. 15 that a patient was combative. An officer responded and reported that the person left upon request and was advised regarding trespassing.

FIGHT: Caller at Adventist Health Ukiah Valley reported at 8:11 a.m. Feb. 16 that a man was fighting with staff. An officer responded and arrested Scotty L. Willis, 41, of Ukiah, on suspicion of making threats with intent to terrorize, violating his probation and trespassing. He was booked into Mendocino County Jail.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: Caller in the 200 block of North Orchard Avenue reported at 11:03 a.m. Feb. 16 that a “man without pants was walking back and forth.” An officer responded and arrested a 39-year-old Ukiah man for being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and violating his probation. He was booked into county jail.

DRUG USE: Caller in the 600 block of Leslie Street reported at 12:28 p.m. Feb. 16 that a woman was “huffing from a spray can.” An officer responded and arrested Jessica A. Bauer, 37, of Ukiah, on suspicion of bribery, possessing a controlled substance and resisting/obstructing. She was booked into county jail.

WOMAN ON RAILROAD TRACKS: Caller at the corner of East Gobbi Street at the railroad tracks at 1:55 p.m. Feb. 16 reported that a woman was down on the track with an intoxicated man. An officer responded and arrested a 57-year-old Ukiah woman and a 54-year-old Ukiah man for being drunk in public. Both were booked into county jail.

PATENT DAMAGED HOSPITAL ROOM: Caller at Adventist Health reported at 4:48 p.m. Feb. 16 that a patient damaged their room. An officer responded and arrested Wes R. Feliz, 23, of Ukiah, on suspicion of felony vandalism and violating his probation. He was booked into county jail.

The following were compiled from reports prepared by the UPD regarding calls handled by the Fort Bragg Police Department.

POSSIBLE DUMPING: Caller in the 32000 block of North Harbor Drive reported at 6:18 a.m. Feb. 15 that a vehicle in the area was possibly dumping items. An officer responded and reported warning the people about camping and that they would be leaving upon request.

ILLEGAL CAMPING: Caller in the 1000 block of South Main Street reported at 11:48 a.m. Feb. 15 that people were camping under a bridge. An officer responded and reported that the people were advised of camping laws and that they had two hours to leave.

OVERDOSE: Caller in the 1000 block of South Main Street reported at 6:28 p.m. Feb. 15 that an overdose had occurred. An officer took a report.

Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the information is in error should contact the appropriate agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcement agencies are reported by the newspaper.
