LAKE ELSINORE — A person was struck by a vehicle and killed in a hit-and-run collision early Tuesday in Lake Elsinore.
Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Station responded near the intersection of Riverside Drive and Baker Street, west of the 15 Freeway, around 12:57 a.m. to reports regarding a severe collision involving a pedestrian, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The pedestrian was found lying in the roadway upon the arrival of deputies and pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheriff’s officials stated that the driver of the who struck the pedestrian fled the location in a dark-colored vehicle.
