We already knew the Philadelphia Eagles were supremely confident about their chances of winning Super Bowl 59 before they blew the Kansas City Chiefs. Saquon Barkley’s assertive speech delivered to his Eagles teammates the night before the Big Game told us this as much.
As it turns out, the Eagles were unsurprisingly also out for revenge in their Super Bowl rematch with the Chiefs. You see, after Kansas City beat Philadelphia in Super Bowl 57, the Chiefs’ offensive line wore brash “0 sacks” shirts at their championship parade. For two years, this clearly did not sit well with the Eagles and their defense.
How do I know this?
In a new clip courtesy of the Eagles, perennial All-Pro offensive tackle Lane Johnson told Philadelphia defenders to remember the “[expletive] shirts they had on at their parade.”
Hoo boy. The Eagles were out to make a statement, man.

Honestly, I’ll come clean. I picked the Chiefs to win Super Bowl 59 before the game happened. That’s on me. I thought they were inevitable. But if I had seen fiery clips like this of Johnson beforehand, I wouldn’t have hesitated to lean strongly toward the Eagles.
This one definitely mattered a lot more to the guys in green.
