DANCING On Ice sent home another fan favourite in a drama-filled episode, keeping fans of the show on the edge of their seats.
On the evening of Sunday, February 16, 2025, a shock elimination followed a tense dance-off between Charlie Brooks and Anton Ferdinand.

Charlie Brooks became the fifth celebrity to be given the boot from Dancing On Ice 2025.
She failed to win over the judges after being sent into the dance-off against former footballer Anton Ferdinand.
After they both delivered their routines again, it was down the the judging panel – Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo – to decide who should be sent packing.
Ashley, Oti and Jayne opted to eliminate Charlie, which meant no vote from Chris was required.
As head judge for the week, Chris would have had to make the deciding vote — even though this wasn’t necessary, he said he would have voted to axe Charlie as well.
Talking to the programme’s hosts after her exit alongside pro partner Eric Radford, Charlie revealed that she had begun to feel “out of her depth” as she confessed that she was the “right person” to go home.
Love Island star Chris Taylor became the fourth celebrity to be eliminated from the ITV competition on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
The results came after the skate-off returned for the first time this series.
Taylor faced Anton Ferdinand in the skate-off before the judges made their final decision.
Ashley Banjo chose to save Anton and Annette, with Oti Mabuse agreeing.
Chris also saved Anton and Annette, sending Chris packing.
Taylor told host Holly Willoughby after the shock elimination: “To be honest, I shouldn’t have feng-shuied my caravan today!”
And even before the 2025 season had even started, one person had slipped out of the competition.
After fracturing her ankle, Dame Sarah Storey had to withdraw, meaning there were only 11 competitors this year.
After the first six performed in week one and the remaining five skated in week two, one person was shown the exit.
In a twist to the show format, the skate-off was ditched and the skater with the lowest combined public vote and judges’ scores was eliminated.
This meant that the final decision was out of the hands of judges Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill, and Christopher Dean.
Sadly it was revealed that Chelsee Healey and Josh Jones were in the bottom two.
After receiving the fewest votes, hosts Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern announced that Chelsee would be leaving the competition.
Here are all of the contestants who have left the show so far:
Chelsee Healey
PAChelsee and her pro partner Andy Buchanan were first to leave Dancing On Ice[/caption]Chelsee Healey is an English actress known for portraying Janeece Bryant in the BBC school-based drama series Waterloo Road.
She’s also starred as Honey Wright in the BBC medical drama series Casualty, and Goldie McQueen in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks.
The soap star said she had the “best time” on the ice skating competition show.
The Casualty star praised her professional skater partner Andy Buchanan and said she “couldn’t have done it without him”.
She added: “I feel, personally, there’s been a lot going on with me that I’ve been struggling with, so I couldn’t completely focus.
“I’m just really grateful, I’ve had the best time.”
Ferne McCann
RexFerne was said to be so upset that she cut short her ‘lap of honour’ around the ice short – and hid her face from the crowd[/caption]The second star to be axed from the ITV show was former Towie star Ferne McCann.
Ferne landed in the bottom two with EastEnders star Charlie Brooks and she left after receiving the fewest votes in the episode that aired on January 26, 2025.
Despite leaving the show Ferne is still a household name after she joined the cast of Towie in 2013.
Since leaving the show in 2016, she has appeared on a host of reality shows including ITV’s This Morning and I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
Sir Steve Redgrave
ITVSir Steve Redgrave took to the ice with Vicky Ogden but was eliminated[/caption]Retired rower Sir Steve Redgrave revealed he had signed up for Dancing On Ice saying he was the “oldest and heaviest” on the show.
The well-decorated former Olympian won gold medals at five consecutive Olympic Games between 1984 and 2000.
Talking to This Morning before joining the competition Steve said: “It’s like going back to being an athlete again, I’ve been competing for most of my life.
“To call yourself a skater you’ve got to be able to do crossovers, I’ve done a little bit of skating I did some short track skating ten years ago and that was one thing I never managed to do.
“I could get around the rink alright and in relatively good speed but I couldn’t call myself a skater.
“I suppose that’s the challenge to me, I’m starting from a very low level, probably lower than everybody else due to my age, I don’t bounce as much as I used to!”
Sir Steve professional skating partner was Vicky Ogden.
Chris Taylor
Love Island Chris Taylor took part in the 2025 seriesChristopher “Chris” Taylor featured on the fifth series of Love Island and again in the spin-off Love Island All-Stars in 2024.
Since first finding fame in 2019, Chris has appeared on Dinner Date, Celebs Go Dating, and MTV’s Living The Dream.
Before joining DOI, Chris admitted: “I’m somewhere between absolutely terrified and very excited and I keep flitting between the two quite aggressively throughout the day.
“I can skate but my dad got the snake hips, unfortunately, I didn’t inherit that genetically from him.
He continued: “I’ve had very little success with the dating shows I’ve been involved with recently so I just thought you know what, let’s try something that is the polar opposite of dating to see if I can have some success with that.
“It appears to be more dangerous than dating but who knows, I could be good at it if I put my mind to it.”
Chris skated with Vanessa Bauer, who won the show with Jake Quickenden in 2018.
However, in February 2025, it was revealed that Vanessa had to quit the series due to injury.
Taking to Instagram to share a video announcing the sad news, Vanessa said: ”I’m here today with rather upsetting news. I am unfortunately not going to be able to continue on Dancing on Ice with Chris.
“That’s really upsetting for me. I have trained Chris since October last year and it is always such an amazing achievement for myself to see someone else progress so much in a skill they’ve never done before.
“So it’s been really rewarding for me to watch this whole journey for Chris [and] the way he’s got better week since October and also since the live shows started.
She then explained what had happened and how she had to prioritise her health.
Vanessa said: “I unfortunately had a little accident backstage last week on Dancing on Ice just before the live show on Sunday.
“And I didn’t realise how bad it was then, but we did an MRI and it turned out that I have a completely torn ligament, grade three sprain injury and a major grade two sprain injury.
“I shouldn’t be skating on an injury like that and so I’m taking all of the advice from the medical professionals here, I am in very good hands.”
Vanessa revealed she needs to have rehab for her injury before adding: “My pain threshold, I don’t trust it, I have been skating this whole week with a lot of pain but I just didn’t realise that it was such a significant injury so I didn’t voice my pain.
“It just goes to show that you should listen to your body and try to tune into your body a lot.
“I don’t want this injury that is already bad to get even worse and so the one sensible decision is to step away, do rehab, focus on my health – I guess mental health as well – because it’s really bad that I have to leave.”
Following the news, the Love Island star was paired up with Robin Johnstone.
Charlie Brooks
ITVEastender Charlie is all for the glitz and glamour of Dancing On Ice this season and will skate with newcomer Eric Radford[/caption]Actress Charlene “Charlie” Brooks plays Janine Butcher in the BBC soap opera EastEnders.

Speaking on Loose Women, Charlie said: “All I want to do is enjoy it and try not to break my leg.
“I’m looking forward to getting a nice strong fit body and the glitz and glamour of it all.
“I’m more low-key these days so to have an excuse to dress up and dance whilst my family comes down and watch will be fun.
“I’m really looking forward to those elements of it.”
She added: “If I can learn to do a little twizzle on the ice I’ll be very pleased.”
Charlie was skating with newcomer Eric Radford, who won Olympic gold for Canada in 2018.

“I’m not one of those people who holds onto the sides, I guess because I was trained as a dancer I’ve got a bit of balance.
“I’ve always been one of those people who says yes, I’ll do that.
“I don’t think I’ll view the other celebrities as competitors as I’m one of those people who competes against themself.”
