Every team goes into a Super Bowl with confidence. After all, it takes playing their best football to even get to that spot. But when it comes down to preparation and talent, the Eagles clearly knew they had a level up on the Chiefs.
Saquon Barkley made sure his teammates didn’t forget that.
Following the Eagles’ dominant 40-22 win over the Chiefs, the Eagles released behind-the-scenes footage from the lead-up to that Super Bowl 59 win. It included the team meeting the night before the game at the hotel. And that was when the Eagles running back told his teammates what he saw in his film study:
The Chiefs weren’t ready for what was coming.
Saquon Barkley the night before the Super Bowl: “As I watch film, my confidence grows more… These guys can’t f*** with us. I don’t care how many times they’ve been here. I don’t care how many times they’ve won it. They haven’t seen a team like this.” pic.twitter.com/LfSEKagTAz

He said:
“I don’t care how many times they’ve been here. I don’t care how many times they’ve won it. They haven’t seen a team like us.”
That confidence was clearly justified in one of the more dominant Super Bowl performances in recent memory.
