It’s time to see some players hit from downtown, with the traditional money balls and racks filled with balls.

That’s right, it’s the 2025 NBA All-Star 3-Point Contest! And once again, there’s some serious talent, including the two-time defending champion looking for a threepeat. Seven other talented players will try to snatch his crown in San Francisco on what should be a super fun All-Star Saturday night that also includes the Skills Challenge and the Slam Dunk Contest.

What’s the format of the NBA All-Star 3-Point Contest?

All players get 70 seconds to shoot the balls placed around the three-point line. There is one “money ball” in every rack that’s worth two points as opposed to three. There’s one rack with five money balls that players can choose to have anywhere they want around the arc.

The top-three with the best scores will advance to the second round, where highest score wins.

If there’s a tie, there would be another round.

All-Star Saturday starts at 8 p.m. ET at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
