The 49-year-old actress posted the resurfaced photo on Instagram on Thursday, Feb. 13. In the picture, she sat on a bench with a red blanket wrapped around her as she held a beverage in one hand. Adam Sandler, who starred with Barrymore in their 2004 hit romantic comedy 50 First Dates, sat beside her. Sandler, 58, was photographed wearing a shirt with a tropical print and dark shorts. He slung one arm around Barrymore’s shoulder and aimed a smile at the camera.
“Throwing it back,” the E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial star wrote before tagging Sandler in her Instagram caption.
“Great photo and definitely looks like a great memory,” one fan observed of the snapshot.

The photo inspired some fans to send in requests for a 50 First Dates sequel, as well as pitches for what the proposed film could be called.
“I’m ready for 50 first marriages ?❤️,” a fan said while another recommended, “Make another 51st dates.”
“Please come back together on screen ??❤️❤️,” one Instagram user pleaded.
