The Greeley-Evans District 6 Board of Education on Monday approved the calendars for the next two school years.
At the previous board meeting on Jan. 27, Kristina Crain, the director of human resources, presented the 2025-26 and 2026-27 school year calendars, which “closely mirror” the 2024-25 calendar to provide “consistency” for students, parents and staff.
On Monday, the board’s second reading of the calendars concluded with the unanimous approval of both school year schedules.
The two calendars will keep late starts on Mondays, mid-semester breaks in October and April and four days of professional development before school starts, according to Crain.
2025-26 school year
The 2025-26 school year will be balanced between 83 days in the first semester and 87 in the second.
Students in first to 12th grade will start school on Aug. 11 while preschool and kindergarten kids will begin on Aug. 14.
The district will close for Thanksgiving break from Nov. 24-28, winter break from Dec. 19 to Jan. 5 and spring break from March 16-20.
Schools will have mid-semesters breaks from Oct. 18-20 and April 30 to May 3.
2026-27 school year
