Former Texas A&M star Martellus Bennett sells ‘coveted’ Super Bowl ring at auction ...Middle East

Former Texas A&M star Martellus Bennett was part of one of the most memorable Super Bowl wins in history.

Bennett was a member of the New England Patriots for Super Bowl LI. That, of course, was the game where the Atlanta Falcons held a 28-3 lead only for the Patriots to win 34-28 in overtime, the 5th of 6 Super Bowls the Patriots won with Tom Brady as their quarterback.

And, according to Hunt Auctions out of Pennsylvania, Bennett’s Super Bowl ring has been put up for auction. The selling price was $88,125, and as you can see, it’s quite the piece:

For the record, Bennett had 5 catches for 62 yards in that game.

As for this year’s Super Bowl, the Philadelphia Eagles will take on the Kansas City Chiefs at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday. The storyline will surround Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs as they look to become the first team in NFL history to win 3 titles in a row. The Eagles, though, will be looking to put an end to that.

If the Chiefs win, that will make 4 Super Bowl wins for Mahomes in just 8 seasons, putting him 3 shy of Brady’s mark of 7.
