Reports emerged earlier this week the popular show, starring Stephen Graham and Vinette Robinson, may have been shelved by the broadcaster after just one series.

It comes after director Philip Barantini had previously told The Radio Times: “I would love to do another series and I’m sure that everyone involved would because there’s so much to explore in that world.”
It continued on from a 2021 feature film of the same name, starring Stephen Graham, Vinette Robinson, Ray Panthaki, and Hannah Walters, which received critical acclaim.

The series followed the kitchen team as the stresses of keeping the restaurant running bear down on them during a hospitality industry crisis.
It proved a recipe for success with positive reviews from across the board.
The Guardian said it was “British TV at its very finest” with “a brilliant script, a stacked cast and … it’s shot beautifully”.
“If the series occasionally feels almost too stressful to enjoy, that’s a testament to just how realistic it is.”
Is Boiling Point being cancelled?
A source was quoted as saying the show was shelved at present but may come back at some point in the future.
“The fact is there’s still an appetite for more, it’s just making that happen.
The i Paper approached the BBC to see if the show has, in fact, been cancelled and found there were some morsels of hope.
They said the broadcaster loves working with the Boiling Point team and “look forward to collaborating again”.
