Why Was Sabrina Carpenter Censored — Twice — During the 2025 Grammy Awards? ...Saudi Arabia

Singing a medley of her two hit songs "Espresso" and "Please Please Please," the 25-year-old singer was bleeped-out during the live feed. 

Instead of altering the explicit lyrics in "Please Please Please," Carpenter went forward with singing the original lyric, "I beg you, don't embarrass me, motherf—ker."

After she was announced as the winner of the Best Pop Vocal Album category for her album Short & Sweet, the former Disney Channel star took to the stage to thank the Recording Academy, as well as her family, collaborators, producers, record label and fellow nominees for helping her along the way.

Earlier in the speech she apologized for using the word "hell," stating, "I don't know if I'm allowed to say hell, but I said it three times now, so thank you."
