Scottie Scheffler's hand injury hasn't deterred bettors (or oddsmakers) at Pebble Beach Pro-Am ...Middle East

News by : (For The Win) -

Scottie Scheffler is finally back in action this week after a pretty gnarly hand injury over the holidays had him sidelined for the first month of the PGA Tour season.

That’s probably the last time he makes homemade ravioli for quite awhile.

Anyways, the No. 1 golfer in the world makes his 2025 debut on Thursday at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and regardless of the fact he’s coming off a longer than expected offseason following right hand surgery, he’s still by far the favorite among the field.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Best Bets: What to make of Scheffler’s return?

At BetMGM, Scheffler opened at 5-1 to win the Pro-Am and his odds have not only held steady but attracted a ton of action. The sportsbook notes that Scheffler accounted for 20.5 percent of all outright winner wagers on Wednesday, as well as 29.3 percent of the total handle on that market.

As for the hand? Scheffler told reporters this week he doesn’t expect it will be an issue.

“Everything is feeling good.” Scheffler said. “…Definitely excited to play. Feeling well rested. Overall feeling good.”

Scheffler has played Pebble Beach twice, finishing T6 at the Pro-Am last year after a missed cut during the 2019 U.S. Open, when the course was in much different shape.

We’ll see just how much rust Scheffler has to shake off when he steps to the first tee on Thursday morning.
