According to Car Scoops, the federal lawsuit states Karmart Mitsubishi failed to comply with the brand’s Visual Identity Program, which requires dealerships to adopt uniform branding.

This means they must comply with specific exterior and interior design elements, including standardized signage.

Inherently, every Mitsubishi dealership and showroom across the country should unmistakably look like it belongs to Mitsubishi.

But, Mitsubishi Motors North America says Karmart Mitsubishi did not abide by these standards.

In the report, it states the company was warned of its non-compliance back in November.

They were ordered to enroll in the program by December 20 – but they failed to do so.

The lawsuit also states that Karmart Mitsubishi has been improperly sharing its service space with Karmart VW – a neighboring Volkswagen franchise.

This was formerly a shared space with a Suzuki dealership, with Volkswagen not part of the deal, but it appears this Suzuki lot was replaced with the German marque.

This, in turn, is seen as a breach of their agreement, while also creating unnecessary confusion for Mitsubishi customers.

The lawsuit adds that Karmart Mitsubishi has been redirecting vehicles from its service area to the VW one – which upset the brand.

According to Mitsubishi, it “has been forced to seek judicial intervention to protect the integrity of its brand and, more importantly, to protect the public from confusion.”

This comes as bike giant Harley-Davidson has been warned it risks losing business if it fails to make a big change after its 2025 lineup reveal.

But the iconic brand is adamant that it makes the “best damn motorcycles in the world.”

On Friday, Harley-Davidson finally unveiled its new bikes for 2025, but there’s been a mixed reaction from motorbike lovers.

One major concern is the cost of the new and refreshed bikes on offer this year.

Elsewhere, drivers living in a major part of a US state have been left fuming after they received hefty tow fees when they were forced to leave their cars in the snow.

Many residents across Hall County, Georgia, were caught out by last week’s winter storm and some feel they were exploited by opportunist tow companies.

One resident, Kellie James, reveals her daughter was driving on Blackjack Road when she encountered the dangerous conditions.

She was one of 31 car owners whose cars ended up being towed away, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, who claimed emergency responders could not access the roads due to the number of abandoned vehicles.

But James believes the tow companies capitalized on the difficulties people were experiencing.
